With the growing world population and changes in food patterns, the projected food demand will nearly be double by 2050 (www.fao.org). The climate change is also impacting the agriculture. The major challenge is to increase the food production with minimum impact on natural resources and environment for future generations.
My aim is to contribute in developing climate-resilient crop plants with Improved yield, better nutritive qualities, resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses, and better resource (input) efficiency to support optimum utilization of available resources and minimum impact on Mother Nature.
